Vancouver, B.C. - The Grade 8 Basketball season is one of the most energized seasons in British Columbia. As athletes begin their time in High School their basketball careers also begin with the first day of try-outs in November. A nerve-wracking few weeks soon subsides as athletes catch their stride and basketball season hits with full force. By January, teams are beginning to peak in anticipation of League Playoffs, but their eyes remain on the ultimate prize - a Provincial Championship.

Athletes, most of whom are playing in their age group in their first year of high school, compete across the province for the privilege to qualify for the Provincial Championship. When it finally comes down to tournament time, with the top teams coming together for the Provincial Tournament, Tournament Organizers and Fans / Supporters can't help but notice they are watching 'The Future of BC Basketball'.
